Share your insights or expertise with our child sexual abuse survivor community

HelpforSurvivors.org is a trusted resource hub where survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) and their families find healing insights, practical tools, and community support.

If you are a therapist, coach, healing practioner (traditional or alternative), lawyer or other provider helping CSA Survivors navigate life in areas directly impacted by their abuse, we encourage you to submit for publication on our site.

Possible areas of interest include: work stability, legal (civil and criminal insights and information), healing and recovery (mentally, emotionally, physically), relationships, PTSD, psychedelic treatments, depression, anxiety, and other areas of life impacted by childhood sexual abuse.

What You Get as a Contributing Author

Every published article includes a full author bio at the end, featuring:

  • A photograph, image, or graphic of your choice
  • Your name and title
  • Your business name (if applicable)
  • A short paragraph introducing yourself and your work
  • One promotional link to your website, social or other destination

Submission Guidelines

All submitted articles must meet the following criteria:

Content Requirements:

  • Content must be original and cannot be published on any other site.
  • Submissions must be well-written with good grammar and readability.
  • No maximum word limit — write what needs to be said. (400 word minimum)
  • Must be formatted to look clean and professional and be easily digestible for survivors who may be experiencing brain fog, overwhelm or difficulty concentrating. Recommendations include:
    • Use subheadings: break your article into sections.
    • Keep paragraphs short: 3-4 sentences per paragraph makes it easier to read.
    • Use bulleted lists of tips or “Next Steps” for quick comprehension.
  • No external links are allowed within your article content except for video or podcast submissions. (One external link is allowed in your author bio as specified above.)

Video/Podcast submissions:

  • If your submission is primarily a videos or podcast episode, you must include a companion article or summary that adds context, insight, or other value related to the content being shared. (300 word minimum)
  • Place your link to the playable video or podcast episode (which can exist on an outside hosted platform) wherever appropriate in your companion article—usually at the top before the article.
  • Videos or episodes submitted with no accompanying text will not be published.

Writing Guidelines:

  • Article titles should be clear and descriptive to the topic being covered. (E.g., ‘5 Ways to Handle Anxiety After Trauma’)
  • Include a brief trigger warning at the very top of your text if your article discusses specific sensitivities that might cause aberrant responses for some CSA trauma survivors. (Format: “**Trigger Warning: This article containts <insert trigger context> and may be triggering for some readers.**”)

Does Your Submission Offer Real Value?

Ask yourself:

  • Will this help survivors heal, feel less alone, or take meaningful action?
  • Does your story offer hope, insight, or a lesson learned?
  • Are you sharing tools, tips, or perspectives that could shift someone’s journey?

If yes — we want to hear from you.

Who Should Contribute?

We’re looking for:

  • CSA survivors sharing their healing journey
  • Therapists, coaches, or advocates with trauma-informed expertise
  • Authors, artists, or creators offering resources that support recovery
  • Anyone with a message that uplifts, educates, or empowers our community
