Is Psychedelic-Assisted PTSD Treatment Real?

Studies are showing YES!

In this video, Rick Doblin, founder of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), explains how psychedelics can be beneficial for overcoming resistant conditions such as PTSD and depression.

Psychedelics Research has been underway for over two decades, with newfound interest rapidly growing in recent years. In 2017 and 2018, the FDA approved the first clinical studies of two psychedelics in potential breakthrough therapies for PTSD and depression. Since then hundreds of studies have been launched with over 200 clinical studies currently underway at the time of this post.

According to MAPS founder, Rick Doblin, three macro doses of psychedelics with intensive psychotherapy before and after has shown the most effective results. This combination prepares study participants for the experience of the drug and also helps them to process what surfaces for them during their psychedelics sessions.
